Aegis Global Academy launches the country's first-ever rural immersion workshop. Titled GRAMDARSHAN, this field visit exposes the students to rural markets primarily to sensitize them the ground realities so that they can serve them better.

This program involves students staying in 3 villages near Gobichettipalayam, 60 kilometers from Coimbatore for 6 days. Divided into three different teams, each team spends two days in each of the village on a rotation basis so that each of the team spends 2 days in each of the village. During this field visit, each of the team would be physically stationed sans their regular luxuries - mobile phone, lap tops, well-furnished and air-conditioned classrooms, air-conditioned off-campus, hot-served food, etc. It is not to steal away what they deserve, after all.  It is more to let them empathy with the target group - the rural markets. The resulting dissonace (if at all!) would enable them to not only appreciate the ground realities but also equip them to serve them better in latter years.

Especially from the view point of delivering better customer experience to the rural customers, what better way is there than to visit them at their place and understand their innate needs, drives, motives, implicit and explicit behavior etc?

Gram Darshan is nice concept to learn about rural people. I learnt something which may be useful for my future. During last 3 days i met one person, his monthly income was 400Rs, but this person was mentally very peaceful and content with what he had,on the contrary we are not satisfied with even the best luxury's in life. Thus this visit was a turning point in my life.Thank you Aegis global Academy for this Oppurtunity.

It is an unforgettable moment for me where I found peace and happiness without money, love and affection without expectation …. I found a new friend (Ramesh) … he offered 20 tender coconuts to us , we wanted to pay for coconuts but he didn’t take money and he told one thing that here in village we don’t give preference to money rather than love … thenceforth I realize what is love and what is money……I like to say thank to faculties, colleagues and specially I thank director sir…………
Thanks for this Opportunity

GRAMDARSHAN was one of the great experience to know something about Indian Rural market...!!!
As we know 75% of Indian consumers live in rural areas and almost half of the national income is generated from villages. Villagers (Rural Market) are our biggest ambassadors in the years to come. I learned a lot from GRAMDARSHAN field visit and it will be useful in my future...!!!
Special thanks to Nagendra Sir for this opporunity. Thanks to Cordinaters and Richard and all my Team Members.

Many of my friends said many things but what i want to say that the people in villages don't want to shift to city's....So it shows how drastic is city's let us start a new initiative to make cities like villages in some cases..not all and will make them come here...I Missed My birthday but it was all for the commitment of learning the rural market.
